MANAA welcome your input and thoughts on pressing issues regarding the portrayal of Asian Americans in print, radio, television and movies.
Agenda items include:
• The new Fall schedule: What TV shows featuring Asian Americans were cancelled & which new ones will debut?
• MANAA’s success in getting ABC President Paul Lee to renew “The Neighbors” featuring Tim Jo
• MANAA’s KCBS interview over a non-Asian playing a geisha in a City-funded video, which is leading to demands for an investigation from other groups http://losangeles.cbslocal.com/2013/05/09/city-of-la-department-of-public-works-under-fire-for-producing-controversial-video-mocking-asians/
• The Mandarin in Iron Man 3, upcoming Hangover 3 with Ken Jeong, Star Trek with John Cho
